Sometimes It's Extra Hard to be Away

This weekend it was pretty hard to be so far away. Our wonderful young grandson had an emergency appendectomy on Saturday. As they tried to figure out what the problem was and then did the surgery, Mama Emily, kept us updated by email and we even talked to Chandler on the phone when he got into his room. However, it was still difficult not to be close by. We're grateful that he is OK and that parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, other grandparents and angels, were watching over him, including one Dr. who wouldn't send him home until she was sure what was happening because the little man on her shoulder and her "mother's instincts" said he needed more testing. Further testing proved that he had an appendicitis. We are very thankful that he's on his way to recovery and back on lego.com.
