Yikes! It's Casper!

So, this is how little kids react to our white faces. This little boy sat through the entire Sacrament meeting just like this. I finally got out my camera, turned off the flash and took this picture. He looks like he's seeing a ghost. I guess to him we might just look like one, especially Brent with his white hair. But we keep trying to be friendly! Not much else we can do.

I can related. This happened to me on my mission on a small island in the South Pacific where the local population was not used to those of us with white skin (only my companion and I on the island). Glen Tolman

I can also relate. The 10 year old girl of the family we are helping in the Swahili Branch, told me her baby brother was crying because he was scared of us because we were white. It's always good to experience being a minority!

What a darling post! It is so true, I also could post crying and running children when they see our white faces. My wish for you....may the beautiful children of Africa just stare and not cry! Sending much love from Bujumbura
