One of the great things about a mission is working with remarkable couples. We love those that we work with. We get together often and it's a great blessing. For the 4thof July we had a BBQ just like we'd do in the good old USA. Only it was on the 11th floor roof of the building where two of our couples live. We had a delightful evening. It was not too hot and there was a little breeze. The food and company were terrific.
It has the best view in Kinshasa.
We even had entertainment as the Catholic choir practice down below really got rocking.
They don't do quiet, calm hymns. There were drums and clapping and quite the spirited choir.
The view of Brazzaville across the Congo River
It was a prefect evening for a bunch of senior citizens who have acquired an even more profound love for their homeland and are in Africa celebrating the greatness of the USA
